She is Bellatrix's right-hand woman, but her main focus is on field work and intelligence. AKA capturing and interrogating the rebels. She's VERY good at her job. Alliance: Voldemort. She is an active, Inner Circle Death Eater. Status in Society: Active Death Eater, possible slave owner Boggart: Her cell in Azkaban Patronus: if she could cast one, it would be a tigress Personality (include several weaknesses and strengths):Who she is: Alecto is a sociopath. Antisocial Personality Disorder is characterized by a long list of symptoms, but the ones Alecto is most affected by are the following: +She lies fairly constantly and will steal whenever necessary. +She has had recurring difficulties with the law because she believes that her convictions and desires are superior and therefore more important than what the ministry believes. +She has a tendency to violate the rights and boundaries or other--this includes a disregard for their property, physical comfort, sexual desires, emotional needs, and any legal boundaries that might exist. +She displays aggressive, often violent behavior, is prone to getting in fights over trivialities. +She suffers from a constant feeling of agitation that seems utterly unshakable +She has an utter disregard for the safety of herself and others +Complete lack of remorse +She's very two-faced--she'll pretend to be the nicest person, can put on the charm like no one's business, but when she's through with you she'll leave you for dead as soon as speak to you again. +Impulsiveness--she's not a fan of planning. In fact, she prefers to act immediately lest the situation get out of hand. Too much time spent discussing the potential consequences of an action will leave her irritated and potentially dangerous. +She has an extreme sense of entitlement. She believes that everything she wants should be hers. She doesn't care who she has to steal it from. +No guilt, ever +Relentless--she will not give up on a 'project.' If she wants you dead, she'll hunt you until she sees you in the ground. +Reckless--it's what got her put in Azkaban, but her time behind bars hasn't created sense of caution. This isn't the person that most people see. The truth is, you never know who you're going to meet when you cross her path. She embodies the extremes of lover and murderer and everything in between. Strengths: Alecto is rarely caught in a lie. Her patterns of deceit are relatively flawless because despite being 'touched' in the head, she is very intelligent and calculating. She's physically strong, but could still be easily overpowered by a man of similar size if it came down to a battle of strength. She can endure a lot of pain, emotional or physical, partially because she is so callous but also because a part of her enjoys it, hidden masochistic tendencies. She can change faces at the snap of a finger, go from an adoring friend to a heartless sadist in an instant. Weaknesses: She doesn't connect on an emotional level with anyone. She uses affections as a tool to get what she wants and as such has never had a meaningful relationship in her life. She suffers from antisocial personality disorder (as described above), therefore getting her to even tolerate the presence of human beings involves some incentive for her. She has a quick and violent temper and a tendency to speak her mind to her superiors that got her in trouble with her parents, at work (when she bothered to hold down an actual job) and at Hogwarts all those years ago. The only authority she respects is that of Lord Voldemort, and even then her loyalty is never written in stone. She's constantly vacillating. Family and Friends (list relationships with them): Her only living family member is her brother, Amycus. The rest are dead and gone, and as far as friends go, she doesn't have many. Bellatrix Lestrange was a tutor of sorts, and she is civil to the other death eaters. Apart from that, she is quite a loner and has far more enemies than acquaintances. Appearance (paragraph minimum.): Cold. If you don't freeze half to death from looking into her eyes, you might notice that she is rather pretty. She's very tall for a woman, nearly six feet, and had long blond hair that would be prettier if she didn't wear it tied back for practicality's sake. Her eyes are icy blue and rarely hold any warmth unless she's attempting to con you. She's thin, always has been, but before her escape from Azkaban in 1996 her physique bordered on emaciated. She's learned how to survive on little, a far cry from her charmed and spoiled childhood. She's still thin but has the body of a fighter now, lean muscles on every inch of her body, everything honed for function. PB: Uma Thurman Sexuality: Interesting question, really. Bisexual, if you truly get down to it, though the gender is unimportant as long as the circumstances are right. And no, she is NOT looking for love. She much prefers a fight. Achievements: She was not the best student in school, save for Potions, Tranfiguration, and Defense against the Dark Arts. She never played Quidditch and is not an Animagus. Hobbies (Quidditch, Astronomy, Chess, Gob Stones): Duelling, killing, maiming, plotting said killing and maiming. Oh, and she also loves a good game of poker. Alecto also finds gardening strangely cathartic. Biography (three paragraphs minimum):Alecto Medea Carrow was born into the lap of luxury in midwinter. Her mother, Hypatia, and her father, Amycus Sr., were never the most loving of parents, especially where it concerned their daughter. Their older child, Alecto Jr., was the shining firstborn, their son. She was a daughter that had come after they'd decided to have no more children, and though she was showered with lavish gifts and never wanted for anything, she never had the attention she craved. As a young child she began to grow bitter and withdrawn, and by the time she arrived at Hogwarts she was well on the way to having her natural antisocial tendencies nurtured to the extremes. At Hogwarts, she made friends in as much of a capacity as she ever has. She sat with them in the commons rooms and occasionally pretended to care what others were saying. She never talked much unless she was using someone for her own means. She delighted in tormenting the muggleborn students in other houses and was an expert at pawning the blame off on a younger Slytherin student that she didn't particularly like. She excelled in Defense Against the Dark Arts, which pleased her father. Over the summers she was given the attention she so desperately wanted as he began teaching her the dark arts she was learning to defend against. Upon graduation, she joined the ranks of the death eaters without a second thought. She delighted in the jobs given to her, the killing, the tormenting. Striking fear into the hearts of the rest of the wizarding world gave her a pleasure unparalleled. In 1993 she was captured due to a reckless mistake. On a mission to gather information from a suspected order member, Alecto left the man alive to suffer rather than finishing the job, assuming that she would die in the dark alleyway before help would arrive. She had been wrong. Before she'd even gotten out of the village she'd attacked in, aurors tracked her down and carted her off to the cell in Azkaban that would presumably be hers for life. Four long years behind those cold bars seemed like a lifetime, but did not serve to improve her demeanor. She grew restless behind the iron bars and that restlessness was reflected back upon her, resulting in more energy to hate the world around her. The dementors acted as a mirror, and the hate thus turned inward until what was left was a warped version of an already warped young woman. When she escaped with the large group in 1997, the built-up rage erupted. She killed five muggles in Edinburgh her first night out, leaving their bodies brutally torn apart by magic in the middle of the town square. Now that Voldemort has taken rightful control over the wizarding world, she is as close to content as if possible for her. She is considered an authority figure among the ranks, and whether or not an individual respects her, they definitely notice how her volatile temperament demands careful treading. She loathes the younger generation and sees them as useless driveling fools who need to toughen up and start working for the good of the Dark Lord. Currently, she is working as Bellatrix Lestrange's right-hand woman as second-in-command for the MLE, putting those wretched days of teaching at Hogwarts behind her. She only did that because Voldemort requested it, and now that other more suitable instructors have been found, she is more than happy to return to what she'd good at--bloodletting. | |||||||||
